The Art Deco area is filled with more than 800 historic buildings that were built in the 1920s and 1930s. Despite a variety of style and architecture, it is easy to spot Art Deco buildings because of their flat roofs, smooth stucco walls, and modern design. Art deco is defined much by industrial and modern concepts. Self-guided audio tours are available and it comes with a cassette rental for the price of $10.

 

Coral Castle

 

Coral Castle is perfect for those who love mystery. Visitors 60 years ago were greeted by a 5 feet tall man, weighing 100 pounds. Entry fee was 10 cents to Coral Castle, a world carved out of stone. Ed Leedskalnin, the creator of Coral Castle was sometime believed to have supernatural powers since no one has ever saw Ed  build this park. Even until today, Coral Castle still remains a great place to explore.

 

Deering Estate

 

The Deering Estate is a 440-acre estate located at Cutler, which contains buildings dating back from 1896 up to 1922. It also has archaeological sites that has been found to date human presence to around 10,000 years ago. A Native American burial mound dated around 1600 can also be seen at Deering Estate. The Deering Estate comprises endangered pine rockland habitat, mangroves, hammock, salt marshes, tropical hardwood, and a coastal dune island.

 

Everglades Alligator Farm

 

The Everglades Alligator Farm is the oldest working alligator farm in South Florida’s on the Everglades edge. The Everglades Alligator Farm has over 3,000 alligators for the guests to view. You could enjoy here the walking tours and airboat rides to view the crocodiles, alligators, snakes and caimans from Florida. You can also have an opportunity to be photographed holding a baby alligator.

 

Fruit and Spice Park

 

The Fruit and Spice Park is a 32-acre county-run park attraction with over 500 varieties of fruits, nuts, and spice trees. The Fruit and Spice Park also has 80-plus banana varieties and over 40 varieties of grapes and other exotic edibles. Visitors and guests are welcome to sniff and even taste the edibles as they go on their way with the tour in Fruit and Spice Park.
